BACKGROUND
A working actor with 25 years’ experience on stage, radio, tv and film, I came to tourist guiding after “resting” on top of a double-decker bus pointing out the sights of London in between acting jobs. I qualified as a Blue Badge guide for London in 2002, and for the Heart of England in 2007. From 2004-6 I was Chairman of the national association, The Guild of Registered Tourist Guides. I am especially fond of Oxford, where I spent three years as a student, and Stratford-upon-Avon, where I worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company alongside such giants as Kenneth Branagh, Robert Stephens and Jude Law.

SPECIAL INTERESTS
I specialise in student groups, particularly London coach panoramic tours, and in-depth visits to London’s great cultural attractions like Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower and the British Museum. I also offer walking tours covering subjects as diverse as Jack the Ripper and Shakespeare’s Southwark. My great passion ( apart from Elvis Presley, whose work I occasionally emulate in karaoke tributes ) is medieval history, and I am an ardent member of the Richard III Society. Meanwhile I continue to perform on stage.
